“VÅRSTIGEN” Spring hike in Dovrefjell

The "Spring Path" may sound idyllic, but for several hundred years this inhospitable path was feared by travelers. Later, the area, with its numerous plants, became popular with botanists, and today the path is loved by pilgrims and walkers. Vårstigen runs through parts of Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park.

Together with a guide, you follow a path that has been used for hundreds of years. Along the way, you learn about history, the rich flora and many cultural monuments. And if we’re lucky, we might even spot some newborn muskox! The trip takes about 3 hours and requires medium fitness. We recommend wearing walking shoes and extra warm clothes. The tour is offered in May on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The trip can also be done with a private guide on request in the period May-October.
